Using intermediate transverse momenta measurements as a probe for investigating hadron production in high energy heavy ion collision at RHIC We propose here to investigate hadron production mecanisms in high energy heavy ion collisions as a function of transverse momentum for strange and non-strange flavors. For this purpose, we use both ring imaging cerenkov and topology reconstruction in Au+Au collisions at 200GeV per nucleon pair and recorded with the STAR detector. Measurements such as hadrons yields and baryon-to-meson ratios as a function of both pT and collision centrality will be compared to models proposing different hadron production mechanisms and p+p reference reactions.
