Di-hadron correlations at high pt Measurements of high pt hadron production at RHIC indicate substantial interaction of hard-scattered partons with the medium created in Au+Au collisions. Back-to-back azimuthal correlations of high pt charged hadrons have been shown to be considerably reduced in the most central Au+Au collisions. The observed dependence of the suppression of the back-to-back correlations with respect to the reaction plane orientation in non-central collisions is consistent with jet-quenching scenarios where the energy loss of a parton is proportional to the distance traveled through the dense medium. I will review these recent experimental measurements and discuss new results on di-hadrons from Au+Au collisions at 62.4 GeV.
