Can the QCD critical temperature be measured? Relativistic heavy ion collisions provide a unique opportunity to study QCD matter and phase transition in laboratory. In the framework of statistical equilibrium models we study freeze-out dynamics of such collisions at AGS, SPS and RHIC energies. We discuss implications of the saturation trend observed in freeze-out parameters and a possibility to experimentally establish the critical temperature.
